The 7th International Conference Planning in the Era of Uncertainty (ICPEU) is an international conference organized and hosted by the Regional and Urban Planning Department, Engineering Faculty, Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia. It will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, September 03-04, 2025. 

ICPEU will have an interesting session led by some notable keynote speakers. Not only that, ICPEU allows participants to give ideas and research to be published. 

The 7th ICPEU conference invites ideas and research under the global theme of “Navigating Uncertainty: Harmonising the Formal and Informal Planning Approaches for a Resilient Future” which aims to bridge formal policies and community-driven practices to create planning strategies that are resilient, adaptable, and inclusive. Bringing together experts, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners, the conference aims to generate actionable insights and policy recommendations to address the uncertainties facing urban and regional planning. With contributions from engineering, social sciences, public policy, and indigenous knowledge, this collaborative event strives to map pathways toward a more resilient and sustainable future. 

The 7th ICPEU will be delivered directly by few world class speakers with different backgrounds and expertise, namely:

  3. Dr. Sumie Nakayama – Kyoto University, Japan
  4. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Asrul Mahjuddin – University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur
  5. Ismu Rini Dwi Ari, Ph.D – Universitas Brawijaya

  1.  Extended Abstract submission deadline: 31 April 2025
  2.  Full paper submission deadline: 30 June 2025
  3.  Payment and Upload Payment Proof for Conference: 30 June 2025
  4.  Camera-Ready Paper submission deadline: 02 August 2025
  5.  The Conference and Exhibition: 3rd – 4th September 2025
