The conference will open with plenary sessions featuring keynote speakers whose expertise aligns with the main theme, “Navigating Uncertainty: Harmonising the Formal and Informal Planning Approaches for a Resilient Future.” These plenary sessions will provide foundational insights on how harmonising formal and informal planning can address today’s urban and regional challenges.
After the plenary sessions, parallel sessions will commence, providing participants with an opportunity to present their research in line with the conference’s sub-themes:
1. Adaptation and Resilience of Infrastructure and Environment in the Face of Uncertainty
2. Urban Design Innovation and Community Participation: Towards Responsive and Inclusive Planning
3. Synergy of Regional Planning and Public Policy for Resilience and Sustainability
Each parallel session will be followed by interactive discussions to facilitate direct engagement between presenters and attendees.
The second day will begin with further parallel sessions, allowing for the continuation of participant research presentations.
The conference will then transition to Focused Discussion Sessions—a series of roundtable discussions designed to deepen engagement around specific challenges within urban and regional planning. Participants will engage in small group discussions with experts in the field, focusing on collaborative solutions and innovative approaches related to the conference’s sub-themes. The outcomes of these sessions are intended to generate actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
